Lent is the 40-day season of preparing for Easter. It is a season filled with practices that deepen our prayer life and heighten our anticipation of the Resurrection at Easter. It follows Jesus’ 40-day temptation period in the wilderness, leading to his death on the cross and Resurrection from the grave, demonstrating God’s unconditional love for us. The spiritual practices and preparation for Lent include fasting or abstaining from things or behaviors (food, sweets, meat, coffee, television, social media, etc.) or adding something to their lives (more church attendance, prayer, giving, Bible reading, etc.), serving in our community by giving of our time and resources.
Join us for our six-week series of Lent to explore different practices to help you prepare to make the most of Easter.
What if the four habits of doing life together (click here) help us to rekindle a connection? Please join us this month as we offer opportunities for connection on your journey to experiencing New Life and abundance in 2024!
